Miniver Theatre was founded by writer Megan Young and producer Andrei Cotocu after graduating from Queen Mary University of London in 2019 through their desire to continue making thought-provoking, dramatic work. 

 

the two founders have been shaped by their upbringing – coming from Sheffield and Bucharest, respectively – and their very different backgrounds. Their distinct creative identities and unlikely pairing has fashioned Miniver into an exciting, emerging theatre company. writer and director rachel jermy joined the miniver theatre team at the start of 2020.

In 2022, Megan started miniver academy, an after school drama club in dronfield for children and young people. The group has gone from stength to strength and runs a variety of different weekly sessions including drama classes, show classes, mini miniver drama classes, and musical theatre workshops. Julie Ballin, Jack Ballin, and Emily Ballin are an integral part of the teaching team.
